Jiri Blazek got his MSc in Aerospace Engineering from the Institute of Technology in Aachen, Germany in 1989. He proceeded with his exploration at the German Aerospace Center, DLR, and in 1995 got his PhD in Aerospace Engineering, concentrating on CFD techniques for rapid streams, from the University of Braunschweig, Germany. Following this, Dr. Blazek functioned as an examination researcher at ABB Turbosystems in Baden, Switzerland, moving to ABB Corporate Research Ltd. (presently ALSTOM Power Ltd.) as specialist and venture pioneer for CFD code improvement in the fields of gas and steam turbines. He was named as senior research researcher at the Center for Simulation of Advanced Rockets, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA and in 2005 established his own consultancy and programming improvement firm, CFD Consulting and Analysis, in Sankt Augustin, Germany.
Dr. Blazek's fundamental research interests include: CFD code advancement - particularly in the territory of unstructured frameworks, air ship and turbomachinery streamlined features; shape improvement; and information representation.
